CPAF Updates, January Newsletter

In Tribute

It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of two long-time CPAF supporters and friends, Alan Nishio and Gayle Hane-Wong, who both left us in December. Their unwavering commitment to CPAF's growth and sustainability over the years has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization into what it is today. In our February newsletter, we will provide a fuller tribute to celebrate and honor the remarkable lives of Alan and Gayle, highlighting their enduring impact on CPAF and the community we serve.

CPAF in the Community

CPAF appreciates our ongoing partnership with the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce and building our relationship through collaborative events, including the holiday toy drive. We thank USC for having us at their recent Night Market event. CPAF always looks forward to outreaching to our campus communities and connecting with students and partner agencies. CPAF hosted our Volunteer Appreciation Lunch in the beginning of January. CPAF staff and volunteers bonded over games and a delicious meal. Prizes were won, light-hearted conversations were had, and memories were made.

New Thai Language Brochure

Rising out of a need in the Thai community, CPAF created new in-language printed brochures addressing facts about sexual assault and more specifically, to raise awareness about sexual harassment. The brochure explains what sexual harassment is, what steps to take, and how to get help. Through this brochure, CPAF aims to increase education, provide resources, and further prevent sexual assault in the Thai community.
